INCODE: Research and Innovation Action on a cloud-native programming platform

Uni Systems with UBITECH co-hosted the kick-off meeting of the INCODE Research and Innovation Action that took place in Athens on 01-02/02/2023. The project, started on January 1st, is funded by the European Commission under Horizon Europe Programme (Grant Agreement No. 101093069) and it will run untill December 2025.

INCODE envisions the design and development of an open platform for the deployment and dynamic management of end user applications, over distributed, heterogeneous and trusted IoT-Edge node infrastructures, with enhanced programmability features and tools at both the network infrastructure level and the service design and operational level. The platform will do so by implementing innovative design approaches and will constitute a fully-integrated infrastructure under the cloud–managed INCODE architecture. The concept will be tested and validated over a mature testing environment that integrates diverse IoT application areas in smart logistics, manufacturing, utility inspection, and community PPDR.

Uni Systems will be in charge for the coordination of the project as well as for the quality assurance and risk management. In parallel, the company will be actively involved with the INCODE platform integration but there will be further contributions regarding the project application and business programmability stratum components along with the INCODE validation and analysis outcomes.
